Welcome to the PcGuide forums cometflash.

Your best bet for gaming is to get a desktop. Laptops are not really meant for gaming. And you can get a much better desktop for the same money.

Most or all laptops in that price range are going to have onboard video. Onboard video just can't run any newer games on decent settings. Any system with onboard video is not in any way a gaming machine. ;)

To get a laptop with a decent dedicated video card you will need to bump up the budget at least a few hundred bucks or more. :(

Go here (http://shopper.cnet.com/4566-3121_9-0.html?sa=500247&) and find an acceptable video card and then see if any will be in your price range. I doubt you will, but you're welcome to try...

Well, I already have a PC. I'm getting a laptop, as I travel a lot. That is a lot of type of laptops out there, with this average price. So is hard to know witch to get. Last time I got a laptop, I toke like 3 month to decide witch one to get. And that might not have being the right one. :(

And thanks for the welcome :)

This is the only laptop I would think about recommending for gaming in that price range. But as you can see it is currently out of stock (which is why I couldn't find it on Newegg the first time, thanks for the link Classic). :( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834115246&ATT=34-115-246&CMP=OTC-C173T

EDIT - Go with one of these three brands for a laptop.

Acer
Toshiba
Lenovo (formerly IBM)

Look through the list. You need to get a solid Video card in order to enjoy your games. Take your time and go through the list. These are all laptops w/o on-board video.

One of these systems will meet your needs, it's your budget that concerns me.
