question on emachines mobo

i have a t6414, and i was wondering if anyone knows if it ready for sata hd or if i need a pci card or adapter to run sata?

Here is a link to the specifications for your PC and as far as I can see it is not SATA capable. (unless I am mis-reading the specs) So it looks like you will have to buy an adapter card

The chipset itself is SATA capable, but whether or not there are actually SATA ports on the mobo is unknown. You'll have to physically look at it to be certain.
