I swear I saw it in the past few days.

Wanna give me advice? I have been struggling with my FX5500 for MONTHS and I want it gone (BSODs). I need an AGP card. I do not game, never have, but might like to. I use the pc for school, I record and rip a lot of audio, edit some mpegs from my camcorder (does my video card matter for this?).

I am looking for some advice on a new card. I have been looking at the Geforce 6600, Radeon X1600PRO, X800GTO because these are around $100-$120 and that is what I would like to spend to MAKE MY PROBLEMS GO AWAY.

Yes I did. What am I missing? As far as I know, Saph stopped reviewing/rating AGP cards but there is something somewhere. Someone posted a link.

Thanks Bud, I ran pretty much the same search before I posted this question. I looked through the hits and did not find the link.

Between those 3, I'd take the X1600 Pro. Especially if it comes with 256MB onboard.

OK, this reply could be in one of so many threads that I have started. It appears that the vid card solved all my problems! I have maxed out this PC with everything I could throw at it and it keeps running. I should knock on wood, bc you never know, but I thinkg the vid card was screwing me!

Since I built my PC I have replaced the PSU and vid card bc I did not consult you guys first. Lesson learned.

(at least I have some back-up hardware)
