Modem Identification

I have a modem with no visible product name which came from a computer (dead) of recent vintage. What numbers, etc. do I need to identify the modem and what is the easiet way to do this?

Can you find an FCC ID number? If so, use the FCCID identifier at www.DriverGuide.com. You'll probably have to become a member (it's free) before using it. There are probably other FCC ID number identifier tools out there. Or just Google the whole FCC ID # and see what you get.
