Hi,
I was going to buy a D850GB motherboard with the i850 chipset. My question is, Does intel make it's own motherboards? I didn't think they did.

Hi jennifer,
I've seen intel motherboards at watford.co.uk for about £150 for an i850.
But that's in England I'm afraid.

Intel does make it's own MB. Check out this site.

Hi Jennifer,
Just in case you wanted a little more feedback http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif , I love my Intel board.
Some of the higher level Tech people I know don't much care for them, mainly due to the amount of onboard devices. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
I don't run any monitoring programs to check my performance against any benchmarks or other machines. I just know that the board I have was very easy to setup, has been Rocksolid thru varied conditions, and when I have a need, will easily allow me to add audio and video cards.
Hope that helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

Howdy,

IMHO, you can't go wrong with an Intel motherboard, especially with that snazzy new i850 chipset. I did some research on the board you're looking at for my main work computer. It's a dandy.

Cheers,

Thanks again for all the feedback. After hearing all the good things about Intel's mobo I will probably go with it. ASUS mobo also use's the i850 chipset that's the one I was originally going to go with.
