Apperently it has more preloaded programs.....

Well, there is improved visuals, more links to DL stuff. The control panel has renamed stuff again (ex. audio devices and speakers got changed to Sound)

But my favorite thing about this new build is that i can use AA with the desktop. Now everything is 100% smooth!

I'll try and post some pics later (Microsoft actually includes a tool for capturing screenshots)

I downloaded it, but I understand I have to be signed up for it to properly install. However, I can't find where to do that. Anybody know? Thanks.

Did you sign up for the original public Beta? If you didn't, then you are out of luck.

Where can I get that version, because I can't find in on M$ site.

?

I had Vista Beta II but had to format my drive and since my Vista DVD is messed up I can re-install it. But since I signed up for Beta II I should be able to get RC1.

I found it but it's already closed. They only gave out 100,000. i an not a nerd must have been one of the few they gave it out to.

That and the Apple dual booters who saw this as a cheap testbed for trying Windows. The files were released the day before he posted here.

I got an invite from Microsoft :)

If you want, i'll put the ISO on a someones FTP server, and you can use your Beta2 key to use it. However, RC1 is already in Technet subscribers hands (and i updated to RC1 over windows update), so the full RC1 should be coming out to Beta 2 testers soon.

I'm very interested in trying this, but am also not one of the chosen 100k :( I looked at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx, no real indications of when/where/IF there will be more releases anytime soon. Do you have to do anything "special" to get in line for the BETA 2 release? i.a.n.a.n., have you found anyplace to post this where we can dl it?

Thanks!

Fred see this thread:

But you will need a beta 2 product key to install it.
If you know someone that is a beta tester for Vista beta 2 maybe they will let you use their key to install it. Each key is good for 10 PCs.
