Network Printer issue

Hi I need some help, I have a problem where i have a win98 computer which is connected to a network printer which is on a Winxp machine the win98 machine used to print fine on that network printer but know all of the sudden it is asking for a password when the user needs to print to it.

When i try to check the printer on the win98 machine it just goes offline and asks me for the password for the printer and yet there is no passwrod set :confused:

What you may need to do is remove the printer using the WinXP computer and when you reinstall, as you go through the prompts, establish a password. Or, it may just revert the way things were. Something must have happened... Perhaps, a security update?
