hello sir,
my question is how can i zip a file by using a command line in windows xp and does not require to install any programs and application. i knew that in windows xp got a zip function but i do not know how to used it to zip a file by using command line.
may some body give me some guideline for me? you can post the solution to my email "ah_kit88[AT]yahoo.com". thank you.

I don't think there is a command line for the native zip function...it is more of a shell extension than anything else.

I don't know anything about accessing the native XP zip functionality through command line, but 7-zip does have a command line version that you can execute without installing any application. You just need to fire off the executeable with appropriate parameters.
