Hi.
:)
Inspired by the "Post your desktop" thread, I thought it would be interesting to see what people all over the world drive. Being a bit of a car nut, I would very much like to see pictures of any other members' cars. They need not be anything special - all cars have their own charm!
:D
I'll start the ball rolling...

This is my 1975 Vauxhall Viva 2-door.
Standard 1256cc engine and 4-speed manual.
1.75 inch exhaust with extractors(headers) and coby rally-cross muffler.
I am planning to drop a re-built/souped engine in during the summer break.
What do the rest of you drive?

...is a Fiat Multipla. It may not be the best looking car on the road, but I like it and the inside is like Dr Who's TARDIS. Those main beam lights mounted high up light up the countryside wonderfully.

That's an interesting car. The high up lights are a good idea, but how do you stop them from blinding on-coming traffic? ;)

Switch them off. Do you not have switches in NZ? They only light up on main beam; dipped beam comes from the lights above the bumper, and these are the ones to use in town driving, etc.

No photo, but I love my Prius. I've had her for two years and she is fun to drive, and enconomical. Right now it is in the shop getting body work done. I parked ever so carefully choosing a spot where there was no parking on either side, just grass. Maintenance crew did not number on it anyway with their big mowing machine! :(

Hahah, I wish. Being 14, I can't yet drive. But my mom drives a Town & Country van and so does my dad, along with some old Ford pickup with motor problems.

Cavalier90 - Owwwww, sarcasim!!!! ;) Yes, we have switches in NZ!!!
OK, so now I know. That's all I wanted!!!
:)
Sounds similar to here, where you have to wire any spot-lights(floodlights) to the high-beam circuit, and it is actually illegal here, to have spot-lights on the "Normal" low-beam circuit - which makes sence...
I like Pave's car!
-tyler - - nice ride!!!!
:D
What age do you have to be in the States, to start learning to drive?
Here in NZ, you have to be 15.
Other posters - thanks for your comments - I am hunting for pictures of your cars on the net...

Here in Florida, I can get a drivers permit at the age of 15, which allows me to drive as long as someone with a driver's license is supervising me. I have to be 16 to get a license though. I believe it varies state-to-state, as up in North Dakota, I remember my grandparents saying you can get a license at 14, but i'm not entirely sure.

Up here in Alberta, we can get a Learners permit at 14 so we can drive with a parent. At 16, we can get a 'probationary license' where we can drive alone, but we're not allowed to get any demerit points. At 18, then you can apply for a full license.

Reid long time no see, how life ?
Reid long time no see, how life ?Going well. Thanks for asking. I have looked at this forum occasionally, but with so many talented people providing replies, there is no need for me to step in. ;)
The time I used to invest in PC Guide is now spent in the DeLorme (mapping and GPS) forum, and I am now a moderator on that forum. My name in that forum is Emrol Ed.

For those of you who don't know about google's calculator feature, click here (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=352+cubic+inches+in+liters&btnG=Google+Search). I've been using it recently because we're house hunting in another city (looking at listings online, converting lot dimensions in feet to acres to give me a comparison with our existing lot.)
That looks like a sweet ride, Reid.

1997 Ford Ranger, 6 cyl 4 liter engine, manual transmission, 170k miles, needs a bath. Oh, and it's paid for and runs like a champ. :D
Click picture to see high resolution image. Grainy because I just went outside to take it, and had to bump up the ISO because the sun just set.
