Java 8

Budfred suggested on another post that the person he was helping should download Java 8 as it is out now. I too tried to find it but the latest download that Sun link to is the Java 2 Runtime Environment 5 update 6. How does Java 8 relate to this? The Java site does reference a server platform edition that is at 8. Is this the one?

Thanks for the link. This is the link I found on the Sun site for Java, http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp. It lists update 6. I wonder why Sun have not updated their own references? :confused:
