Slow browser activity

I am having some problems with a new laptop when I try to access the Internet via IE browser. The problem is when I enter a web address or click on a hyper link it takes usually either takes longer than usual to load the page or a few attempts is required until the page is uploaded.


Do you think this is temporary or something wrong with the setting?

Depends on the site, but sometimes it's a type of malware or a 'feature' you may have with your isp that redirects you through some other channels prior to arriving at the site you clicked on.

Some description of your system, if you've installed any services lately, scans you may have run for malware and what your isp is would all greatly assist anyone trying to decipher your problem.

Are you dial-up? On a LAN? Don't skimp on the details.

try firefox, It is faster than IE, also add fasterfox to firefox (it will make it go even faster)
