I have not been able to use Firefox browser for the past couple of days. IE and Opera work fine but Fx gives me a screen that is blank with the notation "done" in the lower left. I am using XP Home, Avast antivirus, Zonelabs firewall. Fx worked great for ever then just quit. I am still up and running properly with my desktop comp. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Fx and zonelab. I noted that when I uninstalled Fx that upon reinstallation I still have all of my bookmarks so I am apparently not completely uninstalling. I have also tried to save my bookmarks to no avail. How can I do this? I have a pretty good list of sites that I would hate to lose. Please help! Thanks in advance, G

As to your connectivity, sorry, at a loss at this time, any details about something done near the time of loss may be of help. Sounds like a setting tbo...

You can also download Mozbackup (http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/)
In either event, I would uninstall FF. Remove all of the folders related to FF and then reinstall

So are you saying, that if you were to type an address in the address bar, you get nothing?
Open more then one tab(CTRL-T to open a new blank tab), then enter a web address and click go - check that the wee circle thing is showing on the left-side of the tab, to indicate it is trying to load the page.
If you are on broadband, see if you can directly access the ADSL modem, by entering in the IP address of the modem in the address bar.
If you are on dial up, once the connection is established, it should be working...
Check that under TOOLS/OPTIONS/GENERAL that "DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET" is selected under Connection Options, down the bottom of the window.
Generally, this should be all that is needed to get Fx to work happily...
What version of Fx are you using?(HELP/ABOUT MOZILLA FIREFOX)
