I was just reading about a fiasco related to the new Epson photo-quality printers. Apparently a selling point of this printer, when used with a particular ink and paper solution, is that you are supposed to be able to make archival quality prints that last for years. Most ink jets began to have their colors fade after a few months.
Turns out that some people are having problems with their photos turning orange. What's interesting to me though is how many people not only bought this new technology, but seemed to go into it full-tilt even though it is brand new! Some folks lost a lot of money printing out lots of pictures and sending them around the world, etc...
Still surprises me, being a skeptical sort, but I prefer to wait until things have been working for a few months before I buy them. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
