Hello, i have just bought a new K7S5A-AMDxp system and am looking for a better case for it. The one that came with it only has a 300 watt power supply and is pretty ugly. i was wondering what cases you guys prefer or think i should look into. im looking for something with atleast a 350 watt up to 400 watt power supply. it would be especially cool if it had more than a single place for fans. I scoured pricewatch and ebay but couldnt come up with much. thanks for the help fellas.

If you're buying online, getting the PSU and case in a package is the best deal. With a big budget, Lian-Li aluminum cases have an excellent reputation, but I've got no experience with those.

I would want at least four 5.25" drive bays, so I recommend the Antec SX1000 series over the SX800s (same external dimensions).

Chen-Ming is the manufacturer of the Antec cases mentioned above. I prefer to secure 5.25" drives directly with screws rather than rails, but these are pretty tight (Enlight=loose).

I wanted to see what others had to say before I responded, but I really don't know of anything better for the money than Antec. I've got the SX1030 and a desktop case of theirs. My buddy has the SX630 (good for a smaller space).

The Antec 400W looks to be an excellent PSU, so I guess I'd recommend the SX1040. Newegg.com sells the case with an Enermax supply as well, calling it an Enermax case. They also sell it under the Chieftech name, with or without an Enlight PSU. I like the 300W Enlight that I have, but I'd be inclined to buy the "Enermax" case with the dual-fan PSU.

Shipping a case isn't cheap, and they're not usually well packaged to withstand the rigors of UPS (I've been lucky), so you might want to take a look at "Bricks and Mortar" stores.

PS to Rick: Does the 1080 come with an 800W PSU? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I'm using the "Enermax" case w/the 350W dual-fan Enermax PSU. Just recently got this one assembled.

Like... Church's Chicken.

As previously mentioned, try to have hardware like this shipped USPS and you'll have less damage to contend with. UPS likes to stab things w/forklifts, etc.

Luck.
