Hi All.

Lost count of how many times I've read in a forum "What power supply do I need?".

Just found this one http://www.candccentral.co.uk/acatalog/Thermaltake_Power_Supplies.html Thermaltake W0099RB Power Express 250W

It saves the bother of upgrading your existing PSU and I know a good PSU costs a small fortune - especially when you need 600w - 1000w.

THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION - I DONT OWN ONE AND HAVENT TESTED IT OUT SO i DONT KNOW IF IT IS ANY GOOD OR NOT!!

Has anyone got one? Is it any good? Is it powerful enough to run 2 x 7900GT or 2 x 7900GTX ? Do you know where a good review of it is?

I can't give any recommendations as I have not used one. But I do think a dedicated PSU for graphics is a very good idea.

It sure beats shelling out the cash for a quad 12v rail PSU. ;) Besides that I think it would provide better overall system stability because you don't have so much pull on one PSU. Even though a quad 12v PSU would be fine with one 12v rail for the CPU, one for each video card, and one for everything else.

I tend to agree jlreich. In theory it does sound like a "brainwave of the decade" idea to me..... wish I'd thought of it 1st lol. Wanted to add a 2nd vid card to run SLi but couldnt afford the vid card and upgrade the PSU at the same time as funds not there :o( but this way will save me £50 sterling.

There must be a review somewhere on the web - if anyone finds one PLEASE let me know.
