Hi guys, when I go to MLB.com to check out baseball score on the left hand side, the scoreboard will not updated for very long period of time (after 2 hours or so the score is still the same), even if I hit refresh button on IE many times, it just would not update.

Same problem happens when I use "gameday", a flash interface scoreboard, from mlb.com, it would not keep updating plays like it is supposed to.

I have tried to play around with privacy and cookie settings without success. This problem has been bothered me for a few days already. I am really scratching my head right now. If you can think of anything that I can try, please let me know. I would really appreciate that. Thanks guys!!

By the way, my os is XP pro.

By default IE caches pages and stores them for a while. I am not sure how long, but it's a problem for me as a web developer because I couldn't see my page changes a lot of times.

Go to "Tools | Options" and select the "Settings" button under "Temporary Internet Files". Take a look at what is selected for how often the browser checks for page changes. While this might fix an issue with webpage updates, I don't think it would impact a flash app though. I have no idea if the flash thing could indicate anything else being wrong, but I thought this might help the initial problem.

This is how my settings are set:
