I got a BFG 7600GS a while ago. Although it is now possible to play ALL games at the highest settings with minimal lag, outside of games - that means the usual desktop screen and everything else - the picture is kind of fuzzy and grainy. Before, when I used the integrated 64MB vid card, I never had that fuzziness/graininess, although I couldn't play most high-performance games.
What could be the problem? Maybe it's my monitor? It's an LCD; max resolution is 1024x768 pixels.
I have uninstalled the driver for my previous integrated vid card before installing the new one. But, when I go to the CMOS screen at boot-up, although I am given the option of disabling my integrated sound card (which burned a while ago; I replaced it), I am not given that option with my "Onboard AGP" vid card. I am only given the option of choosing between "AGP" and "PCI". Why doesn't it give me the option of disabling the onboard vid card when it gives that option for the onboard sound card? I'm afraid that because I cannot disable the onboard vid card, I get these graininess problems.
Any advice?
Thanks.
