What is simsun.tt_

does anyone know what the file simsun.tt_ is and do I need it.If so, where do I get it.

Looks like it is the TrueType font SimSun and it comes with several versions of MS Office.

Other than about a dozen or so 'core' fonts...no, not really. If you run Office, you may, but it is probably just an optional font.

Was some program or document complaining about it being missing?

I re installed win xp pro and it told me it could not install that file for some reason.
