my Asus p3v4x motherboard just died along with my case. I am thinking of getting a new p3v4x as it's the best among slot1 boards, but couldn't find any.... I have a slot1 CPU PIII600mhz, I am planning to upgrading it to PIII 1 Ghz next year if the prices drops further more. I was wondering if I should get a dual motherboard instead, that way I can put both 600mhz and 1ghz in the same motherboard instead wasting the 600mhz CPU. Can anyone tell me how does a dual motherboard? Does it use two CPU simutaneously? If yes, wouldn't it be a powerful and fast machine? thanks
Dual motherboards need matched processors....so a 1 gig and a 600 won't work together...any way Slot1 provcessors are starting to go the way of the Dodo and dinosuars,, that is the reason you can't find the board you want...it isn't being made any longer. Very soon the PIII will no longer be supported...
