Problems installing streets and trips...

I am having problems installing MS streets and trips. The install goes fine until it asks me to put in the "run disc." I put in the "run disc" and click OK and the same put in the run disc message comes up, like it doesn't recognize the run disc. Any ideas on what is going on?

Is your disk a burned backup? Whoever created it may have extracted everything on the disk, but overlooked something such as either a boot sector or something else. MS is notorious for using intentionally embeded errors on their disks as a protection mechanism. When the image gets burned, good burners recognize the error and remove it sometimes. When the software looks for this error track and can't find it, it knows there is a problem. Nothing about you, but sometimes this *problem* is pirated software.

If the copy is an original, contact the software vendor. They'll swap the disk out with very little hassle.
