Hi, I'm building a Pentium4 1.6 but have a question about the case(AOpen)/power supply.

The case was advertised as 'P4 ready' but I noticed the power supply
didn't have the 6pin aux ATX power connector for the motherboard.

Is this connector necessary to power up or should i replace the power supply? Also please recommend any if so.

The P4 requires a 4 Pin Aux. power plug..

I've never heard of a supply having the square +12V P4 connector without an "aux" connector. What is the part number of your power supply? (I assume it's an AOpen).

I think more importantly Does your New P4 mother board require the 6 pin Aux. Plug?
I have seen a few that do not .

The part number of the PS is 91.96120.E01(AOpen).
The motherboard is Gigabyte GA-8ITXE,which has the aux. connector.
What I would to be sure is if I need to use it.
I suspect the power supply in the case is not quite compatible in my opinion.
