I just got a job as a teaching assistant working in this second semester starting from October till February and I'll get paid ~$400 working hour=3, once/week. But,
I just keep thinking I actually don't need it or want to do it. I don't know why. I think spending time on teh web might broaden my mind more than walking around in the lab watching undergraduates playing with keyboard.

What do you think I should do ? also, you know why I don't feel like studying anymore ? None of the courses attract me at all.

"Why am i so bored ?"
Because you're not interested. The activity doesn't turn you on.
Go looking for at least one [legal, morally acceptable, positive, rewarding] activity that does turn you on.
pick one that completes fairly quickly and that's within your capabilities, so that you meet with success without too much delay.
Build small success upon small success.
This creates an upward spiral of...
Action...successs...reward...satisfaction.
The successes will begin to grow in size/importance, and with that will come increasing reward, satisfaction, and therefore motivation.

Onward and upward tustinju! :D

That seems too personal so I won't have any specific idea about that but you might think and choose which one is more beneficial after all. You need some money and gain some exprience, then do it.
But in my case, I am an Italian and spent several years doing my PhD in Egypt on microbiology 7 years ago, I was "promoted" (in Egypt) to be a teaching assistant. It was completely different from that in Italy, because I was supposed to be only present on time to check up some bio-experiments undergraduates and some other graduates did on the day, and tediously ALL was just that till the day finished. I wished I had had more time to concentrate on my own lab work and certainly to be more active in all of the wrestling clubs in my school. I just can't even really breathe to express myself how they were marvelous in different aspects of a student's daily sport life.
But you know I never or hadn't regretted, or well, I should never regret doing the job. I think I was just out of luck after all. In life there were/are more such unlucky cases one would always meet.

Anyways, you can make your own choice, and if finally things turn out bad, just blame on luck.

You are so damn right with your insightful ideas about my problem.

I am so really grateful for that, Eytan Bellusini. You are my dream hero.

Best Regards, tustinju

"if finally things turn out bad, just blame on luck"
I remember a quotation I read...

"People say I'm lucky...
But I've noticed that the harder I work, the more lucky I am."

But MOTIVATION is the key.
Without motivation you won't continue to work enthusiastically...
And others [your superiors...those who can offer you the opportunities you would love to have] will detect your true lack of motivation [no matter how hard you try to conceal it].
[If you ever come within close range of such as these you will feel their aura of depression sucking the life from you]
No man manager in his right mind would give an important task to someone who is unexcited by the prospect.

So staying in a job that bores you is a recipe for failure.
And if/when you fail it really isn't good enough to excuse your failure by saying it's all down to "bad luck".
Those who have succeeded have almost certainly made their own "good luck".
Sure, they probably were not quitters, but more importantly, they were almost certainly ENTHUSIASTS doing what gave them joy.

Very insightful ideas you made, Sylvander.
I remember my time in Egypt, the worst thing people there had I always disagreed with was their judgment over what others were doing, especially they tended to use very big words for something very small. I once couldn't join a karaoke night party and several of them said "my nature" was to be away from others, kind of isolation. Goddamn it, I couldn't say how angry I was at the time, but since then I have realized myself that was just because of my tongue that was kind of so stiff when talking to monkeys.

And if/when you fail it really isn't good enough to excuse your failure by saying it's all down to "bad luck".
I was just advising him about his personal situation not a general one. But anyways, it was very considerate explanation you made!

I can't reinstall zone alarm after I deleted it,

error: zpy.dll is not found on my computer

my search on google brings me a lot of links but none of them help me solve the problem. I have XP installed, several local users set up, running server Apache and sql for private use.
I try to log in as "administrator" but I don't know why it asks me to input the password I have never established.

What do you think the problem might be then ? Thanks

tustinju, MeiRenRongYuan, EytanBellusini, crap16, or whatever your name is...bye bye

Your personal admission of boredom is quite apropos. However, with as much energy as you have spent being a bore, I suspect that when you focus your energies constructively you will be quite successful in life...

In the meantime...get a life! ;)

Laguna,
Yep, read post 7 and see the troll inflame the dialog with comments about an entire country.
All the participants are new members except for Sylvander.

Actually this is one person with a couple of identities who is talking to his other identities.
