Can anyone recommend a scanner for around $200 with a USB connection? For use with Windows 98. Will be used for scanning postage stamps.
Thanks much.

I purchased an HP for $200 about a year ago. Am very satisfied.
Models change rapidly, so whatever HP is marketing now would be where I'd look first.

Howdy,
Yep, I agree. You can't go wrong with an HP scanner. I bought a 3200C a couple of years ago, their current model at the time, and have been very pleased with its quality and also with the bundled software that comes with it.
Cheers,

I don't know anything about newer scanners, but HP has always had a great reputation for printers, and a pretty good one for scanners.
My Mustek is 4 years old and still works well, I would not hesitate to get another Mustek. It's been dependable, quality is good, resolution up to 1200DPI, (may be 1400) but I rarely use higher than 300.
