I,m a newbie to these discussion forums but would like some help please.
I have an AMD K6 2 500 running win98se and broadband cable modem. For Christmas I was given a CD R/WR with nero 5.5 and have installed it ok.
However I also wanted my original CD-Rom installed which was connected as a slave to the hard drive. Luckily I had a spare slot on the motherboard and so connected cd-r/wr to that. Can anyone tell me how I can connect both devices to my sound card? It may be a stupid question but I would like to have sound from both devices. Thanx. :-0

Your sound card is probably old enough doesn't havea second audio connection...and everything else is old enough that it may not support the use of digital audio....but you can try that first...go to the Multimedia applet on the control panel and once ther go to the CD tab...then find which drive is the CD/RW and make it the default, then check the "Use digital Audio" box...if that doesn't work you will need to find a splitter cable...
