I am still waiting for the final release itself before switching (so my extensions keep working) but the new browser should be decent, particularly the anti-phishing aspect. Another nice thing is the combined Extension and Themes in one interface instead of the separate ones used now.

BTW, a recent hacker presentation claiming 30 flaws in Firefox due to the way it handles Javascript turned out to be a hoax. It turns out only a browser crash could occur and no compromise of the browser.

Also, it picks up a couple of the more popular extensions and rolls them into the main code.

I'm doing the same as PrntRhd and waiting for the full release.
I wonder do the skins off this version work on the new one.
And if they changed the interface at all.

I installed it soon after mjc posted it.
1: it's faster,, noticeably!
2: Every extension I use is already working.
3: The spell checker works everywhere you type,,
..oh,and it's driving me NUTS!!!!!

Loaded the new one, working, but some themes are not compatible just yet.

I had a fresh install of 2k that was just asking for a new browser...

You can disable it in the options under the advanced tab. Just untick "check my spelling as I type".

Something odd. I have tried to get FF 2 beta for some time now and when I go to download it I always end up getting 1.5.07. And yes I am on the beta page, the same one MJC's link takes you to. The odd things is, for the heck of it I tried to download it using IE and it worked like it should and I got it.

It's a crazy world when you have to use IE to get the latest FF RC. :p

Just updated to RC2!

Edit: Just a note regarding Spell Check in RC1 or RC2,
You have to go to "Mozilla Add On" and download an appropriate Directory for the country where you reside.
