I'm looking for a bootable antivirus that i can boot off of a usb key, i looked at "the ultimate boot cd", but it uses old definitions. Any help would be awesome.

If you are using Avast anti virus it has the boot time virus scanning.
If you want a bootable anti virus from bootable cd, I recommend Bart's PE with Kaspersky plugin. For additional, BArt's PE also have AVG scanner plugin, Spybot and Search plugin, and McAfee plugin. A usefull tool dude..:)

mjc posted portable applications a while back.
ClamAV is one that fits on thumbdrives.

Thanks guys. I'll have a look at the Bart's PE. I tried clamav, but i couldn't figure out how to get it to be a bootable device...
The problem is that there aren't a whole lot of computers that will boot to a USB device...the number of capable machines is growing, but it still isn't all that common.
The Bart's PE solution is probably the better one. You can add quite a number of useful tools to it, in addition to both AV option...and even end up with network support.

I have a common question here...Is ClamWin Portable bootable? I didn't see its bootable image files at all...

No it isn't. It's meant to run from a USB drive.
