I can't update Ad-Aware, It has been 17 days now since I updated last.
And I am getting the warning message that I havn't updated in 17 days would I like to check for updates now.And when I click yes it doesn't say there is updates would I like to download them like it usually does it jumps right to downloading them the percentage hits 5% then instantly hits 30% and freezes at that point. If you leave it it just eventually says there was an error updating.
And if you attempt to cancel the program freezes and you have to end it in task manager.
Anyone else having this problem?

Same here but mine stays at 5% :o
Hope it's a server problem!

Same here. I'm sure it is an updates server problem. It happens once in awhile. It will probably be back up before long. :)

Mine doesn't read update complete it just fails.
I am happy to see other people having the same problem(In a manner of speaking)
I was worrying my Ad-Aware definitions were compromised...
I get the same as fruss tray ted except I get to 30% before complete freeze.

If you skip the autoupdate and then click on manual update you get this:

This is rediculous....
You would think they would have fixed this by now.
I'll post if I get it.

I can't download the definition file as well. But I had tried direct download the definition file from www.lavasoft.com, it works.

What should be done with the "defs.ref" file once unpacked from the downloaded "defs.zip" file?

Directly paste into Ad-Aware Se installed folder.

I'd rather just wait for the problem to be fixed.
Who's to say there isn't a problem with the definitions themselves?
I'm just going to wait until the update feature works.
