Hey, I have exhausted all possible options I can think of to get a computer with the configuration below to work. When I attempt to boot it all I get is the green indicator light on the motherboard, the CPU fan, the graphics card fan, and powered drives (hard drive and DVD). There is no display whatsoever and no beeping from the motherboard, even with the memory removed or limited to one of the memory chips. Asus recommends the motherboard have a 600W power supply, but I think it should at least run on the 480W. The only strange part about the power supply it is a 20-pin, and the board takes a 24. I did put an adapter on it to convert it though. Any ideas?

Ummm....if it calls for a 600 and you are trying a 480, you may not be getting even close to the current you need to power the thing, especially if you are using an older ATX format that doesn't even have the primary 24 pin power connector.

Do you think that is the only possiblity, especially since I am not taking advantage of the SLI capabilities?

Depending on what else you have...fans, optical drives, etc, you could be pushing it very close on the 12V leg.
