I am seriously considering upgrading my current system K6-266 to a MSI kt266-Pro2 or MSI N-Force 1Ghz AMD processor. I would like to basically "strip" my current system of all it's in-line cards and peripherals and put then in the new system. I have been told (conflicting reports) that my current video card (PCI) PNY GeForce MX/MX400 64M will will work/will not work with this board.

What's the take on the video card issue?

TIA,
Neal

The card itself will work-but the drivers may cause a conflict in the system.

What OS are you planning on installing? XP will detect the Nvidia chipset and automatically install the correect geforce drivers; 98/ME will install it as a standard VGA adapter-then all you ned is the Driver disk to install the correct drivers ( i highly recommend you go to nvidia's website and get the most recent drivers -23.11 i believe ).

I currently run ME, but have W2K on hand. Heard lots of good things about XP, considering going that route.

I have 3 other computers networked in my house, so I will be sure to download all necessary drivers prior to the upgrade.

So, I sould have no probs with the PCI video in the previosly mentioned MB's?
