ok
so i had a ram stik: CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) System Memory
and i ran memory test problems and they failed so i sent it back in and got another one
now same thing happens bsod and reboots
when i do ram test it fails 1 tes then an hour later i will redo the test and it wont fail (and i let it run for 1 hour or 2)
then i keep runnin tests it doesnt fail then suddenly it fails one
wut is the problem?
im runnin windows xp home edition
i have this mobo GIGABYTE, GA-8I945GMF, Intel® 945G, 1066MHz FSB, DDR2-667 4GB/4, 4x SATA II RAID, PCIe x16, Video, Audio, Gb LAN, FW, mATX, Retail
could this be a problem with windows?
or my mobo?

Did you try insert your RAM into another RAM slot?

What are the rest of your system specs? Including the PSU?
How are you testing the ram? With what program?
Does the BSOD's and reboots happen while doing anything particular like playing a game, or just at random?

Put the RAM in various slots and test it with MemTest86+. Report back with the results.

So it fails in all slots, huh?
Sounds like a bad stick then. Do any other RAM sticks work in that motherboard?

Are you sure your system isn't overclocked? Also - persistent memory errors/BSODs (even after you installed a new ram stick) are frenquently caused by an overheating CPU. After all the fiddling inside the case, are you sure that the CPU heatsink is still making proper contact with the CPU?
While you're in there, check the mainboard for leaking/bulging/gunky capacitors. How old is your power supply?

ok i did ram test today for 9 hours and 0 errors
my power supply is new and has been barely used and i already checked voltages comin out and they seemed fine
and mobo seems fine and heatsink is on cpu and thur is thermal paste
but i can chek cpu temp today

I'd suspect either a dying hard drive or a bad vid card at this point. You can test the hard drive with the manufacturer's utility (from their website) but a vid card is difficult to test if you don't have a known-working spare.
