Terratec dmx 6 fire soundcard.

Hi all,

after replacing the mobo (now running Asus a7v880) my pc has developed sound problems. the first slot i tried the car in gave loads of 'white noise' and i could barely hear the music. th next slot i tried i could hear the music fine but it sort of pops and clicks now and i can listen properly, its like a scratched cd. i use I-tunes but when i try to listen on wmp it says there is no sound device even though it lists dmx 6 fire in the wmp options

there are no problems in the device manager, and im running the latest bios and terratec drivers.

what is this problem im having?

See if it works ok in another system. If not, then it may be bad.
If it does, then it may be either incompatible with your new MB, or there may be a problem with your new MB's PCI bus.
