slow boot up

Hi,

after my numerous adventures with my dual boot win2000/XP, i finally stick with XP like it was before... now the only problem that i have is that Windows has become very slow when i boot up to finally have the DSL connection to the internet up and running, it takes almost 1 minute (but it's still usable during this time, but sluggish) to have the two littles monitors in the system tray and starting working normally. It seems to search for others connections, i don't know much about networking...

Any help would ben appreciated :)
