View Full Version : Computer wont boot up even to Setup

Hi all my b/f just bought a 1g PC3200 CL2 184-Pin DIMM Memory Module from Kingston. Ok he put the ram in his computer it didnt take it at first, His computer would not boot up all the way. So he tried it in my machine. Now it wont boot up all, the computer turns on etc. it seems its in a sleep mode. I have Win XP. Here is my mainboard Specifications from the manual that came with PC when I bought it.
CPU.

After that, he did manage to get it to work in his PC after a clean install.

Sorry for the bump, but we did a Motherboard jump and still no luck any ideas or knowledge would be much appreciated.:(

Reset the video card, RAM etc making sure that everythings 'clicks' into place. Check to see that no power connections, especially fan related ones have been disturbed.
