What the heck kind of answer is that?????
Fran, go to www.tomshardware.com. (http://www.tomshardware.com.) They have a review of around 9 motherboards for the P4, complete with comparisons, etc.
Or, just do a search at www.google.com (http://www.google.com) for something like, "Pentium 4, Motherboards, Reviews, User Reviews". I just did that and got over 14,000 hits. I'm sure you will find valuable information on some of those websites that will help you determine which board is right for you.
Cheers,

That's an insult to a person looking for advice. I'd like to put it down to ignorance or stupidity. Maybe its both. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif

Hi hackerfran,
Do check out Tom's as BigBlue66 suggested and also anandtech.com. Pay particular attention to chupsets. I would avoid RDRAM (AKA PC800 or RAMBUS) but look for boards that support PC 2700 DDR 333MHz bus (AKA DDR SDRAM)
Are AMD processors( Athlon XP 1500+, 1600+, ...) out of the question?

Hi hackerfran,
Do check out Tom’s as BigBlue66 suggested and also anandtech.com. Pay particular attention to chipsets. (Aviod RDRAM aka PC800 RAMBUS it's only a little faster, expensive and may or may not be around in the future.) Look carefully at motherboards that support PC 2700 DDR RAM 333 MHz bus if you are interested in speed.
Are AMD (Athlon XP 1500+ ....) processors out of the question?
