Hi

I hope I am in the correct forum.

My problem is that I want to download a small programme from the web and each time I do this the internet explorer bar on the top says it has stopped an active x control and the programme does not work.

Its a knitting programme a girl on the knitting forum put it up for everyone to use.

I just cannot see why this is happening - I can understand the need for security but this is taking the nanny computer business too far.

Can anyone help me with this.

Click on the information bar at the top of the window and select "allow this site to use ActiveX controls" or something to that effect. Then try it again.

Thanks for your reply. I have clicked on the bar at the top of the page and it allowed me to use the programme so thanks for that.
