These are the two video cards that I own, can I use both of them on my comp? What will I get if I do this?

The second one came with a Dell so it's under the Nvidia name, I don't know if that makes a difference

Thanks

P.S. I have the necessary slots and all just wanna know if it'll work.

Hello ProjectEx123, and welcome to The PC Guide Forums!

You have an AGP 8X and a PCI-E 16X slot on your motherboard?

A PCI-E 16X video card will not work in a 32bit 33MHz PCI slot.

Very few motherboards have both types of graphics card slots, and those that do are not very good. I don't think you can have both slots in use at the same time. If you can use them both all you would gain is support for four monitors. There would not be any performance gain.

Using multiple video cards is possible, BUT, and it is a big one, they need to use the same driver. I install multiple monitor (up to 10) setups all the time at work. They use a few different types of video card, and you need to use models that use the same driver for it to work. Otherwise you get a blue screen or endless reboot loop.

As already mentioned you also need the available slots on the motherboard. Typically for me this means using a PCI-E 16x and PCI.

The only thing to gain is the ability to use more monitors.

I actually don't I was just wondering if they'd stack, it was more of a general question rather than specific.

So, what are the advantages of dual memory cards vs a single one, saying that I bought another 7900?
