New to wireless networks, please help.

I've got a NETGEAR WG311v3 Wireless NIC in this PC, let's call it PC1.

There are three PC's I'd like to have on this network, PC2 and PC3 respectively. PC1 is a floor above 2 and 3. I've got a Linksys WRT54G downstairs. I'd like to (if possible) have the cable modem connect directly to PC1 and have the wireless NIC broadcast a signal to the Linksys downstairs with two wired PC's hooked up to it to provide them with internet.

Could anyone help?

This would be the ideal setup:

Leave the cable modem where it is (downstairs I presume) and connect it directly to the Linksys router. Run a network cable to PC1 upstairs (I would go through the floor if possible), and let the other computers connect to the router wirelessly.
