It has a lot to do with budget and intended use. Are you looking for something for gaming? Also, your system specs are needed.

From a gamers view, I wont to buy the best card going for the system I have now, or I do a total upgrade (mobo, cpu, memory and video card) and future proof the best I can.

Also when you find a card you like do your research, check reviews and gamers forums.

I'm building a computer and I'd like a decent card for a good price.

Is this one any good? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2183361&CatId=0

It seems to have some nice specs but it's a bit of an older model.

Thanks ^_^

Ummm... no...

Get something like a GeForce 7600 GT or Radeon X1900 GT. Much more modern and will give you more performance for your money.

What's wrong with it? I compared it with some stuff that is modern and it matched up quite nicely. What's wrong with being outdated if it meets in performance?

How did you compare them? Benchmark scores or specs? With the latest games, both of the vid cards I listed will give you more robust performance per dollar spent. Granted the 7600 GT isn't up to par with a 6800 GT/Ultra in terms of sheer polygon performance, but it is cheaper and will deliver more efficient shader performance, especially in current and future SM 3.0 games. But I see no argument that comes close to touching the X1900 GT! It is more expensive, but there's no 6800 series vid card that can beat it!
