I just finished putting together a system using a AMD 1.2 T-Bird (hope to go up to a 1800+). Have it clocked to 1330Mhz right now, only concern is temperature. CPU is 47C/116F, SYS is 35C/95F, is this OK? My only experience is with Intel, think AMD's run hotter.....have a Thermaltake Volcano 6, two case fans (intake & exhaust). Would appreciate any input or tips!!! Thanks much.

You are in the 'ol ballpark where you are at with running at
1330.
I'd try to watch the temps in that area as kind of a max tho.
Naturally,
cooler is always better.
If you are getting your temps from CMOS(BIOS) they should be
fairly accurate.
There are some HS/F available that are all-copper and use a 7K
fan that would bring the CPU temp down some. But you are not in
danger yet, so go with what you have.
I've got a 1.2 Tbird mounted on a GA-7DX (spare box) w/retail coolermaster
HS/F and it runs 52C.
As long as you don't have any "freezes or hangs".... Drive On.
Luck.

Thanks ranchdog....I'm using a Gigabyte GA-7VTXH board and just read a review on benchmark.com (they didn't care for it) that saidthe temp probe
used on this board wil cause the temp readings to be reported 10deg. (F I assume) hotter than actual. Know anything bout this????????????
Thnx again!!!!
