Hi everyone, just wondering if someone with some knowedge of video cards can give me some advice. I have never been to knowledgeable when it comes to video cards.

I am looking to upgrade my current AGP card (Sapphire Radeon 9200se Atlantis 128mb), Im looking at 2 cards that are in my price range and want to know what people think of them and give me a recommendation as to which is better.

The cards are an ASUS 256mb X550 for $78, and an ASUS 256mb 7300gs for $93. I was going to get the 7300gs, but found the x550 today for $15 less and wanted to know if the 7300gs is worth the extra money since there is not much difference between the specs (both 256mb, both ASUS, both PCI-E).

Thanks,
Glen

If you currently have an AGP card then a PCIe card will not work in your system. Unless you have one of the rare mobo's that has both graphics slots.

What are your system specs?

I am upgrading my motherboard and cpu, and thought I would take advantage of the pci-e interface with the upgrade and get a new graphics card.

Since your budget is so low, and since neither of those vid cards are any good at modern gaming, I'd say it really doesn't matter which one you get. In which case, save the $15 and get the cheaper one!
