I just installed an ASUS NVIDIA 6200 128MB AGP video Card. Computer operates as it should, the resolution and image is sharp and looks great. I have the most updated drivers but I am having a major problem. Whenever I try to play a movie/video file the computer locks up, I have to hit ctr-alt-delete and end program. If you click another window it draws it extrmely slow. This is the case for both Windows Media Player and Quicktime. I do not think it is the drivers, but I am not sure what else it could be. I tried installing older drivers but I get the same problem. My old video card was a 64MB card and when I updated to a 19" widescreen monitor because I couldn't get the resolution requried for the new LCD Monitor so I updated the video card. Do you think the card is defective?

Did you completely remove all traces of the previous vid card's drivers? If not, that would be your problem.

Boot into Safe Mode and get rid of all graphics drivers, even your new ones. Then go into Device Manager and delete all graphics adapter entries. Reboot and install your new drivers again. See if that helps.
