Is anyone or has anyone used the latest version of McAfee Security Center? It seems that since I loaded the newer program my PC is crawling. Just to load the PC it takes like 5-7 minutes. Trying to navigate through my PC seems like it takes forever. Is this common with this program and is there anyway to get some of the processing speed back with it installed?

It has been a resource hog for a long time and the latest version has generated a large number of complaints... I suggest checking out their website and updates to see if they have dealt with the problems...

If you look at Budfred's signature, there are links to quite a few really great tools. Some are free...others you get a 30 day free trial and then pay later. If you didn't already subscribe to McAfee, I would consider the tools that Budfred lists.

McAfee and Norton can really bring any PC to its knees and has caused many annoying problems in the past as well. They just require so much of your system in order to stay running that it could cause pcs to lock up, crash, or just be non responsive in some cases.

Trend Micros Anti Virus is also a great program you may want to consider. Panda Titanium and Ewido Anti Trojan/Virus are great programs as well. Check them all out.
