When i try to open a file using DivX, it says that the file is not found due to the directory being just the first name of the file and not the entire named file/folder.
when i put the file on up on the tree, the DIvX error keeps upping itself as well.
any help?
thanks

My guess is that the [which Windows?] registry isn't adequately set up [registered] so that the DivX player [I know little about this player] can play a file with that extension [which extension is it?], when the file address is long and includes spaces.
I notice I have a DivX codec [included with the K-Lite codec pack] mentioned in my registry; I'm searching for more.
I've found in the past that this kind of problem [player/program is unable to find the file clicked upon] can be simply and quickly fixed by adding quotes around the %1 [or whatever][making "%1" or "%L" or...] in the "[file type]\Shell\Play\Command" key in regedit.
e.g. Here's my registry "mp3file\shell\play\command" [the player for mp3 files]
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:6 /Play "%L"
as in the image below...
A similar fix would be needed in the "mp3file\shell\open\command" key data setting.
Of course, [so you can restore to before the changes] you should always make some kind of backup [or export the branch] before making changes.
