Every time I run Spybot S&D it finds this thing called WildTangent. This occurs even if I haven't been online. And I use dial-up, so when I'm offline, I'm really offline. Here's the information from Spybot S&D:

Company: WildTangent, Inc.
Product: WildTangent Visualizers
Threat: Unknown

Company URL:
_http://www.wildtangent.com/_
Company product URL:
_http://www.wildtangent.com/candy/visualizers.html_
Company privacy URL:

Functionality
Visualization for Media Players

Description
Configuration information is transmitted on a regular basis.

Is there a tool that will permanently get rid of this?

Thanks,

WildTangent can usually be uninstalled in Add/Remove Programs... Since it is associated with various games, it may be reinstalling when you run certain online games... It is not really considered to be malware, but more foistware in that it installs without permission and may open the door to other infections... If you want to permanently get rid of it, you need to not play the games that use it... Otherwise, set Spybot to ignore it...

Besides being a resource hog, it is more like a pesky mosquito than anything else.
