...and how can I find out if my computer has it.
I have checked the Quickstart Manual AND the more extensive manual on the motherboard drivers CD....no dice.
Is there a place on the AGP slot or around it, or anywhere else I can find this info?
The motherboard is a:

The easiest way to find out is to open up the case and look. Here's some pics to guide you (not exactly what you have, but all boards are laid out pretty similarly)...
You should see a bunch of slots, usually white. Those are "PCI slots", that's what most add-on cards use
The AGP port is reserved for video cards (it is an Advanced Graphics Port - AGP)
It will be next to the PCI slots, offset back a few centimeters,
and usually brown in color. It usually has some sort of latching mechanism.
As far as I know AGP is backwards compatible, so they all should support v1.0,
Can I ask what you're looking to do with the port?

Yup! I'm putting in a new video card for my son. :)
BTW, thanks for the info...I do have an AGP port in there. The video card we were interested in said that it was not compatible with an AGP 1.0 3-volt slot, so I was curious as to what that is. I don't believe the 8x slots are 1.0, I think they are 3.0, so I think I'm ok. :)

AGP is backwards compatible, so they all should support v1.0NO!! Not true!
AGP 1.0 slots are very different from 2.0 slots, which are very different from 3.0 slots. They do not support eachother in many cases because they have different voltages and keys in the slot. You cannot physically or electrically fit an old AGP 1x vid card in an AGP 8x slot. You can't even put an AGP 4x vid card in an AGP 8x-only slot. This is why warnings like this are put on AGP hardware.
Quasimodo - No worries here. Your mobo has an AGP 3.0 8x slot. Whether you have V1.5A (http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWeb/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?MenuID=24&LanID=2&DetailID=265&DetailName=Specification) or V5.1A (http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWeb/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?MenuID=24&LanID=2&DetailID=343&DetailName=Specification).

Right. I read that you cannot use AGP cards interchangeably simply because of the difference in slot divisions, let alone the difference in voltage.
Sweet! Thanks Saphalline!
Kristi, who loves this board;)
