Can Anybody Clarify Whether This Works Or Not?

I read the following on another website and I'd never heard of it before. It seems like a useful piece of information and am tempted to try it but I don't want to mess anything up on or inside my PC so was just wondering if somebody could clarify it for me and tell me whether it's legitimit or not, thanks.

Depends on what you mean when asking if the software works. It works perfectly if you want to completely compromise your system's security and become part of some zombie network. It probably doesn't work so good if you're wondering whether the PC knowledgeable people on this site will fall for it.

From what I hear the people that make this sort of stuff available are bed-wetters too. Strange but true, I know. It came as a suprise to me as well!

A Super *NOOBS* Guide on How to Run Aimbot on GBRev!

As Many of you know, getting and aimbot to work can be really simple once you understand it. But thats if you understand on how to get pass the basic steps!! I made the TutoRial As Clear As possible! I am here to help you guys finally get aimbot runnning for Gunbound Revolution! I seen many people request a TUTORIAL, so I mADe ON, Hope YOu LIke!

Also I got word that this tutorial does not work for GBWC users! SRy!

READ CAREFULLY!

1. For this tutorial, I will be using the "GameRegistance 2.08 + Aimbot" for I know this hasn't been patch because I'm still using it =P This Aimbot can be find here I prefer you save it on your desktop for now. You can find this aimbot here

2. Once downloaded unrar it. Some people don't know what "unraring" means. To unrar a .rar, you will need a program such as this download here
Once downloaded, right click the GameRegistance 2.08 + Aimbot .rar and congrats, you've got the files!

3. Now that you have the files, go sign in on ijji.com and when hit "Play Live" for the gunbound. Gunbound should load up a secondary start up menu with news on the site with the big "START" botton at the bottom right! Don't press START just yet!

4. Now comes getting the aimbot to run! You'll need to open up "notepad". This can be found at your (startup menu/all programs/accessories/notepad). Once opened, just minimize it so you can get it out of your way, don't close it!

5. Now open up the folder of "GameRegistance 2.08 + Aimbot" and you should see a file called "inject" Open it.

6. There should be 2 boxes called process EXE name and DLL path In the Process EXE name type in "notepad.exe" Now for the DLL Path box, hit browse, and open up the GameRegistance 2.08 + Aimbot folder and look for the file name "aimbot.dll" in it. Once you found it, Double click it.

7. Now at hte top of the injector should be a botton saying "inject dll hotkey" blah blah.. hit that! You should see a menu with bot names, and aimer and all that pop up! This is great! You've got this far! Now Don't Touch NOTEPAD! It will Freeze on you if you click it, so that's why I had you minimize it so it will be out of your way, now minimize the injector, Don't Close it!

8. Now go back to your GameRegistance 2.08 + Aimbot folder and look for a file called "GRAPP". Open it!

8a. IF YOUR GRAPP DOESNT OPEN read here.. IF YOUR GRAPE WORKS FINE, skip this step.

"Actually, the error isnt Japanese. It's in Korean. It says the trial has ended.. Thought that would help you guys." (aprilmaejun) Not to worry tho! I have seen many people asking about this error in the past few days.. Theres a fix to it that can be found at the bottom of this tut! Download that and there should be a file called "RegRepair in it. Open it, hit enter, and wala! This jus tweaks the "GRAPP" File if it doesnt let you open Game Reg.

9. Ok, so now that we all have "grapp" running. In the first box called "Target", the top one, type in "Gunbound.gme" now for the box called "Tool" type in "Aimbot.dll'

SIDENOTE: "GRAPP is CaSe-SeNsEtIvE

so:
gunbound.gme -should be- Gunbound.gme
aimbot.dll -should be- Aimbot.dll"

If it gives you a service error, just click ok and hit start again, and it should work, But if it gives you jus a plain "ERROR!" that means grapp is already running!

10. Once you got it to Run, you must close it, the hard way! hit "ctrl+alt+delete" go to the "processes" tab, and look for "GRAPP.exe" exterminate it!

11. IF YOU ARe ON THIS STEp IT MEANS YOU have MADe IT! open the gunbound menu news thing, and hit the big blue shiny botton saying "START!" VERY IMPORTANT! - MAKE SURE YOUR USING THE OLD INTERFACE! TO do this, once in gunbound go to settings (the little wrench at the bottom at the screen) or if you are in game hit "ESC" and when the menu pops up, at the bottom should have the "OLD INTERFACE" choice, bubble that and save!!

SIDE NOTE: If you cannot see the aimbot menu when pressing page up/down or prnt scrn and you know you did everything correctly, its probally because your still using the new interface! Once in Gunbound game, hit "Prt Scrn" (above insert button) to lock on to enemys, and hit "Page Up" to choose mouse or automatic (mouse control is recommended) and hit "Page Down" to choose the bot on the aimbot so it can give you the right calculations and powers!

12. Just put your mouse on a enemy, and make sure you and your enemy are on the same screen! and hit the "Prt Scrn/Sys RQ" botton to activate the AIMboT! it will give you the angle your on with the power! if the angle arc doesnt show up, that means your trying to do an impossible shot, readjust your angle to a lower or high angle until it comes up again after you hit prnt scrn. make sure you LOOk AT WIND! if your right next to a guy with 89 with wind at 20 mph -> and your saying Why ISNT MY aimbot workinG! IT means you need to go back to physics class, or jus use a smaller angle!

2. Install ATi Tray Tools
3. Open ATi Tray Tools
4. Now make a desktop shortcut of the game that you want to boost the FPS on
5. Right click on it
6. Click on properties
7. In the Target: box type this in
256MB of RAM = -heapsize 128000
512MB of RAM = -heapsize 256000
1GB of RAM = -heapsize 512000
8. Now close the window
9. Right click on the ATi Tray Tools icon ( bottom right cornor )
10. Game Profiles -> Manage profiles...
11. On the right side of the box Executable click on the folder icon and find your shortcut that you made
12. If its a game that uses Direct3D check the box Direct 3D to and check restore previous game setings after game ends
If it uses OpenGL do the samething as above
13. Now click on the drop down menu and click on Custom Settings
14. Click on the Edit button
15. Under Mipmap Detial level, put it on High Performance and Wait For Vertical Sync on off
16. Click OK
17. Now under profiles click save and wall!

Heapsize Explaination:

Sorry for busting on you a little at first, Vanchatron. I guess I jumped to conclusions, and that wasn't fair. You did post the correct link in your OP, but I was alluding to the fact that these guys are ALL BAD. I took a look at the thread you posted and not only is it absolutely bogus for a few reasons, they're totally clowning on the forum users too.

1) No software is capable of boosting FPS ratings for ANY GAME. That's far too nebulous a claim.
2) Here is the description of their forum named "Technical Jargon"
Technical Jargon: Hotspot for the people who can find their pc or box's on/off switch.

3) What does the software do? Sounds like it pours your memory in the toilet.

4) How about the video? People who like riddles, or know why they would be cautious asking a Genie for a wish, might interpret this as graphics corruption. The AREA where image quality is reduced is shown on the middle of your computer screen. I think "but the quality is not reduced that is around you" means the image quality of real life surrounding you.

6) The original post clearly states this only works with ATI. After asking what game (shouldn't matter, remember?) The poster responds to questions about how to use it by indicating he's never seen certain options because he doesn't own an ATI card.

7) Look at how those last 7 posts straight punk the guys asking questions.

Stay away from those guys, and don't install anything they ask you to download. It's going into my HOSTS files as 127.0.0.1.

That crudely constructed "tutorial" on reducing mipmap filtering is unnecessarily complex. And some of the tweaks look like they would have stability issues for some games, especially newer ones. Then again, it looks like a method for increasing the frame rate on older systems running older games anyway. :rolleyes:

There are many less harmful tweaks you can do to any system that will improve frame rates. However, like this tweak, they come at a detriment to image quality.
