My friend is talking to me over MSN Messenger and has been telling me that her PC is messing up so I asked her what the problem was incase I could help... This was the reply I got:

Alison .. .. Comps Fukd x says:
volume keeps changin

Alison .. .. Comps Fukd x says:
wind3ow media playa keeps curmin up

Alison .. .. Comps Fukd x says:
so d3uz internet explorere

Alison .. .. Comps Fukd x says:
n its typin stguff thgt amv not pressin

Looking at this I can tell her PC is pretty messed up. The only thing I've done so far is told her to download Ad-Aware and scan her PC incase it's a malware problem and she got rid of 78 critical objects, which basically is no surprise because she's not very good at computers.

Anyway, does anybody have any idea what it could be?

Aside from the screwy typing, are there any other symptoms? Ask her to give you exact details OR have her post up exactly what goes on. With an issue like this I'd guess that there is more going on than just the typing issue.

Ad-aware is a good start. Did it help? Otherwise, she should try hijackthis: . Let her make a logfile and post it on that website. The main things to be done then are displayed there, otherwise she can post the logfile additionally here (hxxp://www.computerhilfen.com/security-board.html), if she is not sure, which processes to delete.

Actually post the HJT logfile here in our Applications & Security forum where real people trained in removal can advise removal. The automated site is not generally as good as real people for advising, especially with new released malware.

We deal with HJT logs here, so there is no reason to refer people to your website... Additionally, I am not aware of any evidence that you are qualified to address HJT logs, have you trained somewhere??

The first site you posted is known for false positives and missing many malware issues... It is dangerous... Please do not refer people here to that site...
