Hi all,
I've set up my new system and i am using Kerio 2.1 (the old one) and am being kept busy with lots of "incoming connection alerts" especially directed at my svchost and system ports:eek: Is this normal?
I have done nothing to setup Kerio (if it has to be setup) but i need to know if what i am doing is right or is there a site for more knowledge about better management of this firewall.

cheers
anton

I'm running the latest Kerio Firewall (The one by Sunbelt)
so bare with me if I'm slightly off here,
When you get a pop up asking you whether or not to allow this is there an option to remember this choice? If so either deny or allow it and rememebr it.
I don't have svchost allowed in or out on my system and it has never asked either. If this doesn't solve your problem you may want to post up a HJT log to make sure you're not infected. Is it literally called "svchost"?
Not anything like svchost2 or scvhost?

I suggest getting a more recent version and running it in the simple mode... It won't bother you except under very unusual circumstances... If you don't want more control over what goes on with your system, it is a good way to go...

On the 2.1.5 version it asks of you want to "make a rule" to allow the connection, and there is a check box to "make a rule and not ask again". Click the check box, allow, and that application does not ask again unless the program gets updated or changed.
