I am trying to to access a website by logging in with my user name and password and when I click log in I get a message bottom left of the screen that says error loading page - when I click the icon it says that windows has encounter an error and cannot load the page properly. I have downloaded the latest java update and I belive that it may have something to do with javascript? could any one help me out at all.

Java and Javascript are not the same thing...and really have nothing in common.

That said...

What version of Windows are your using?

Which browser are you using (IE, FireFox, Opera, etc)? version?

When did it start?

Does it just happen on this one site or others, too?

I am using firefox windows xp and it has happened in the last week the site is ok as I have contacted them the exact error is:

Problems With This Web Page Might Prevent It From Being Displayed Properly Or Functioning Properly. In The Future You Can Display This Message By Double-Clicking The Warning Icon Displayed In The Status Bar.

LINE 219
CHAT 2
ERROR: OBJECT DOESN'T SUPPORT THIS PROPERTY OR METHOD

URL (WEB PAGE)

Any ideas would be gratefully received?

Does the page actually load?

In any case that is not an error you can do anything about...it is either an actual coding error on the page or a compatibility error with the latest version of FF...

I'd start by emailing support for the site in question and provide the error details.
