A. Please make sure that hardware acceleration is set to Full in your display properties as follows:
1. Right click the desktop
2. Select Properties
3. Click the settings tab
4. Click Advanced
5. Click the Troubleshooting tab
6. Verify that the Hardware Acceleration slider is set to Full.

A. Make sure that all DirectX features under the Display Tab in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool are set to Enabled as follows:
1. Click START
2. Click RUN
3. Type "dxdiag" and click OK
4. Click the Display tab of the DirectX Diagnostic tool.
5. Verify that all DirectX features are set to "Enabled".

Have you done these steps?

also, what version of DirectX do you have?
1. Click START
2. Click RUN
3. Type "dxdiag" and click OK
4. The Direct X version is in the system tab

A. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed from your video card's manufacturer.

You might want to check the game's website for more details. There may be other people experiencing your problem.

BTW, what game is cod2?:D

your system seems to meet the game's system requirement. except that I'm not sure about the video card.

BTW, Have you tried reinstalling DirectX 9.0c?

Minimum Requirements

* 1, 4 GHz Prozessor (Celeron / Duron)
* 512 MB RAM
* ATi Radeon 9200 / GeForce 4

Optimum Requirements

* 2, 5 GHz Prozessor (Athlon XP / Pentium 4)
* 1 GB RAM
* ATi Radeon 9800XT / GeForce FX 5900

Maybe you can try to look for a friend with that model of video card. If the problem disappeared, well, you know what to do.

Hello everyone[:)] i'm new here nd nice 2 meet u all . i get the same DirectX irrecoverable error thing when i start Cod2 . thing is i use a built in Intel(R) 82945G Graphics Media Accelerator 128MB video card . i have the latest directx 9.0c but in dxdiag control's display tab , the AGP texturing feature is shaded and i cant access it . does Cod2 require AGP texturing? does Intel(R) 82945G Graphics Media Accelerator 128MB has any AGP texturing feature? if it does then how can i enable it in dxdiag?? because i have played many other games like Cod1+expansion , GTA san andreas and half-life2 on it and i am pretty sure the require AGP texturing . so whats the deal with Cod2?
